We Have A New Look!

Following the launch of the business six years ago, and the build and opening of our Sheepyard Barn in 2017, we’ve taken the slightly quieter (!) opportunity this year to focus some of our efforts on our website.

We reached out to guests – old and new – to find out what they want to see and hear from us in a new website. The result is what you see today…. Still much of the same content because guests told us the information is useful, relevant and informative but we’ve moved away from our previous design and injected a little more video and imagery throughout the site.

We’ve been increasing our use of video – you may have seen this in our monthly newsletters if you’ve subscribed and/or some of our video blogs – and have received a good response to them. Our aim being to share information about a stay with us, our beautiful county of Suffolk, neighbouring villages and towns, places of interest, useful tips to make the most of your self catering holiday and more practical information like how to use our wood fired pizza oven. We believe being able to see places, people, properties for yourself can help make the decision of which holiday destination or property is going to be right for you much easier. It felt a natural progression to make these videos accessible on our website and to enhance our video collection to better show people what we have to offer here at The Suffolk Escape.

The additional videos and images, we hope, will enable those considering a stay with us to visualise and truly see what the log cabins and large barn have to offer both internally and externally. Particularly the larger groups or multi-generational families who are looking for a larger property like our Sheepyard Barn, they told being able to see the space available gave them the opportunity to see how the space could work for them as a family or group. Those considering a log cabin self catering holiday in Suffolk told us imagery and videos of how the log cabins are set up, what’s included and how they are set around the lake is really helpful in picturing their holiday.

We’re always researching and updating our information about Suffolk to be able to offer recommendations of places to visit in Suffolk, the best Suffolk restaurants to eat, new areas in Suffolk to explore so we’ll be sure to keep the website up to date and provide useful information.

We hope you like the site and are always grateful to people taking the time to provide feedback of ways we can improve so please feel free to get in touch if you’d like to share some thoughts or suggestions.
