Sheepyard Barn Review

Latest Trip Advisor Review on the Sheepyard Barn:

“Total relaxation in peaceful surroundings”

We stayed at the newly converted Sheepyard Barn the last week of August 2017 and everyone in our group had a wonderful time in this secluded part of the Suffolk countryside. Our party was a multigenerational mix of family and friends: 2 nans/1 grandpa, couples, friends, kids and 2 little dachunds. The accommodation is perfectly equipped with everything for a comprehensive home-from-home experience – from well-stocked kitchen, feature island, sprawling sofa, large wooden dining table and luxurious bedrooms with ensuites. Even the 4 person bunk room is suitable for adults and nicely kitted out. I loved the industrial bedside pendant lights in the master bedroom – so might nick that idea for our own bedroom at home. I can’t think of anything that we missed having or could have done with during our stay – the owners seemed to have covered most aspects to ensure an enjoyable stay. The children spent many hours in the ‘Sheepdip’ pool and the resistance machine was a novel addition for the more competitive swimmers. The hot tub was blissful, and as the barn is surrounded by open farmland, no one needs to worry about keeping the chatter volume to a minimum as you really are alone to relax. Apart from the rare, occasional tractor whirring in the distance, you’ll be spoilt by the tranquility. We made use of every facility, including the trampoline and outdoor pizza oven (though yummy, we need more practice at shaping the pizzas – the best one we made still looked like a silhouette of Mickey Mouse!). That was good fun. We stayed 4 nights but would definitely come again for a longer break. We were delighted also with the delicious cake, fresh eggs and ready-to-bake croissant dough on arrival. Thank you Suffolk Escape for a wonderful and spectacular stay.
