Quaint Suffolk Country Pub
If you are looking for a quaint, country pub, serving good ales and tasty home cooked food then the Kersey Bell hits the spot well. We visited last week to try the new team’s food out and we were all delighted with the food, beer, service and also to see that they have not changed the quaint, country pub feel inside.
There is none of your gastro set-up or menus here, this is a dying breed, a “proper” country pub in one of Suffolk’s prettiest villages. The village of Kersey is just one street with a few ancient timber-framed houses, a church, school and the Bell pub. I gather their Sunday lunches are very popular and need to be booked in advance.
Kersey is only 6miles from The Suffolk Escape and we offer a bicycle hire service with a dedicated “turn by turn” map of how to reach Kersey, 100% off any main roads, along pretty country lanes with wonderful views.
