Perfect and Peaceful Paradise

“We have stayed in luxury log cabins before but this was our first visit here. On arrival we were met by Andrew who showed us around Southwold Log Cabin – it was simply stunning. The bedrooms were large and luxurious as were the bathrooms – I like the fact that both bedrooms and bathrooms were of very similar spec meaning that there wasn’t a ‘best’ room. It was kitted out with high end equipment and furnishings and the quality was very evident. All of this ensured you felt that you were living in luxury for a few days.

The lounge was comfortable whilst being modern and equipped with tv, dvd and surround sound and a dock for your music. The dining area was lovely with large windows opening onto the decking along from the French doors in the lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped which was perfect knowing we would be entertaining friends the following evening. On arrival, there was a beautiful home made cake, bread, tea, coffee, eggs, home made ready to bake croissants, butter and jam. This was such a nice thing to do!

Cleaning materials were provided including dishwasher tablets, cloths, surface spray and so on which again is a really nice touch. The log cabins are all situated so that you are not really overlooking each other so you all feel private.

The hot tubs are all out of sight of each other – loved having the gates open when in the hot tub which meant you could look out onto the lake. There is a gorgeous table kind of sunken into the lake which is a lovely place to sit early evening to have a drink or two and there is a BBQ, Chimnea and sofa set by the hot tub so you can enjoy being outside a little longer.

All in all, this was a real chilled break away from our busy lifestyles at home. It took us just over an hour to drive there which meant we could get into holiday mode quickly and yet feel like we were far away from it all.

Andrew was extremely welcoming and accommodating and we knew that with one phone call he would be there if we needed anything. It is simply the perfect place and the owners have made it that way!”
