You simply can’t beat a Scandinavian-inspired log cabin with a roaring fire in the wood burner providing a soft glow and warmth, and views over a tranquil lake (which looks even more stunning when glistening with a frost or even snow).

Our breaks over the Christmas and New Year period offer the ideal setting for small groups of friends or couples who want to spend quality time together or the ideal hideaway for those wishing to escape the craziness that can creep in at this time of year. Set a quarter of a mile from the road into farmland and surrounded by nothing but trees, fields and a lake, they provide the opportunity to truly stop, relax and unwind.

With two double bedrooms and a large, open-plan kitchen and dining area, the log cabins offer the space and facilities for festive socialising if in a group of four yet the cosiness and luxury for those looking for a more intimate getaway if just the two of you.

Our Sheepyard Barn is already booked for Christmas and New Year for 2018 and 2019 but we do have mid week availability (Monday to Friday for 4 nights), providing the ideal setting for larger groups wishing to get together before Christmas. The barn sleeps up to 12 guests, has an indoor swimming pool, private hot tub and a large open plan living space, making it a hugely popular venue for groups of friends or multi-generational families.
