Extra Special Touches

Go on, treat a loved one at our cabins

With Andrew’s event background he can help you create the special touches you may wish to arrange for your Log Cabin escape. Whether it is a private chef to cook your perfect 4 course dinner or have the cabin set for a surprise marriage proposal  we can help.  Here are just a few ideas to whet your appetite but there is no limit to what can be achieved…

Romantic hamper: If you’re planning a special trip away for your loved one, we’ll be happy to put together a hamper which will be waiting for you on arrival. It will include a fresh large bouquet of flowers, a bottle of champagne and a box of chocolates. The hamper costs £70.00. If you want further help in arranging an extra special escape, even with the perfect “proposal”, then please do not hesitate to contact us.

Flower bouquets: We can pre-order a bouquet of flowers to be in your log cabin on arrival. We will discuss your requirements prior to your stay and ensure that the flowers are as you requested. Bouquets start from £25.00.

Cycle hire: You can hire mountain bikes and equipment from us for £12.50 per day per bike (£22 for 2 bikes).  Suffolk’s gently rolling landscape makes it an ideal location to enjoy long bike rides through the countryside and many picturesque villages.   There is a nice cycle route along the quiet country roads to the beautiful village of Kersey where there is a wonderful country pub for a well earned lunch. (Kersey is only 6 very simple to follow miles from us!) We can’t guarantee availability of bikes during your stay as we have a limited number available so we advise to book early.

Farm Trail/Safari:  A unique insight into farming life plus a couple of drinks in a perfect spot. Head out with Andrew or his father Brian in the 4×4 and get an understanding how arable farming works through the season and where the produce ends up.   We will also take you to meet the livestock and give a brief overview of food production from field to fork and why high welfare management creates better meat. To finish off the trip we stop at perfect spot, whether it is down by the river or if the combine harvesters are going a couple of glasses of wine/beers watching the sun setting over the field is a great experience. There will be drinks and yummy snacks (cured meats, crisps, etc) served from the back of the 4×4. The trip last approx 1.5-2hrs, depending how much you want to see and what is going on around the farm. Cost: £32.50 for 2 people and £12.50 per additional person (minimum number of attendees is 2.)

Why not make the most of your holiday and take advantage of our optional additional housekeeping service.  We can come in on the occasional day or every day.  Our housekeeper will make your beds, refresh the bedrooms and bathrooms and also tidy the kitchen and sitting room £40.00/day.
